DRUGS

As with anywhere else in the UK, it is illegal to buy, sell or take drugs at Truck Festival. We work with our security teams and Thames Valley Police to prevent drugs entering the event. All drugs are potentially dangerous; there are no harmless drugs.

The only way to avoid risks is not to take drugs at all. This also goes for psychoactive substances (formerly known as ‘legal highs’) as well. If at the point of search anyone is found to be in possession of drugs, legal highs, pyros or weapons, our policy is that you will be refused entry and may be arrested. `

Please don’t ruin your experience at Truck before it gets started.  Ahead of the festival we are encouraging everyone to read through the great advice shared by Festival Safe

TENT CAPACITIES

All stages at Truck have a maximum capacity. If you want to see a particular artist, please arrive early to the stage to avoid disappointment. Once the tents have reached capacity we will be enforcing a one in one out policy. If you cannot get access, we recommend you go and enjoy an artist at an alternative stage.

UN WOMEN – SAFE SPACES NOW

We are joining forces with UN Women UK this year to deliver ‘Safe Spaces Now’, make sure you visit the team – they’re situated right next door to merch. You can find out more about making music spaces, safe spaces now!

Our aim is to make Truck Festival a safe and inclusive space that invites everyone – regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality or ability to join the party at Hill Farm. Our fans and the community we have grown make Truck the festival it is today and we ask all festival goers to follow our ethos at all times.

Trained UN Women UK ‘Guardian Angels’ will be easy to spot across the festival site wearing bright UN Women UK T-shirts. Our Guardian Angels are on hand to ensure that all festival goers feel supported by trained volunteers, who can intervene safely or provide support in case of an incident. As active bystanders Guardian Angels are trained to approach situations in a non-inflammatory way and provide practical support linking to our on site provision. More info can be found here

FESTIVAL SAFE

Whether you’re a festival first-timer or a veteran of parties in fields, it’s worth checking out Festival Safe before you get to Truck. Put together by festival experts, it’s a one-stop shop for how to have the best possible time. Festival Safe has it all, with sections devoted to preparing for festivals, camping, crime, alcohol and other drugs, wellbeing and families.

CAMPSITE MANAGERS

We have dedicated campsite management teams in all Campsites. Campsite Managers are on duty 24 hours a day, and are there to provide information or answer queries throughout your weekend at Truck.

It is our responsibility as a Festival to ensure we are working together to reduce our Carbon Footprint and look after our home at Hill Farm.

We’re asking you to work with us this year to help ensure Truck is a sustainable and responsible Festival.

Do your Truckin’ Bit and follow our guidelines below:

  • All Bars at the festival this year will be serving drinks in reusable cups, you’ll need to pay £1.50 for your first drink. Keep hold of your cup for the rest of the weekend and when you’re done pop the cup in one of the cup deposit bins!

  • Only bring what you can take home with you!  When packing for your weekend at Truck please only bring the essentials.

  • Say no to Single Use and reuse your tent. Buy a sturdy tent that you can use year after year – it’ll save you money in the long run!

  • Please take your tent home on Monday morning – we are unable to recycle these items and the reality is any abandoned tents end up in landfill!

  • Please bring a reusable water bottle! We have water refill points at every Toilet block in both the campsites and the main arena

  • Since 2016, all single use plastic has been banned from the Festival. Please ensure any plastic you bring to the Festival is recycled appropriately.

  • Please ensure you keep your camping area clean and tidy, you will be given bin bags on arrival to the campsite. If you need anymore just ask your campsite manager.

Avoid back pockets or handbags that are easy to enter. Protect your phone by enabling a pin lock and write down all details including IMEI number and any tracker details (such as activating find my iphone).

Arrange a location to meet your friends if you do lose your phone. Please help us to keep yourselves and your property safe.

PLEASE NOTE – items will only be kept 2 weeks after the festival. Following this all items that can be, will be given to local charities. Any lost phones not reunited at the end of the festival will be handed to Thames Valley Police. Please be alert and keep your belongings safe at all times.

LEAVING THE FESTIVAL

All campsites will be closed at 12:00 (noon) on Monday 25th July. Please be aware that there will be a lot of people wishing to leave Truck on Monday morning so queues will be likely.

To have the best chance of avoiding the queues we recommend avoiding leaving the site between 08.00 and 09.30.

Traders will be open in the campsite so please feel free to make use of these if you wish to leave later in the morning.

Our Car Park stewards are on hand to effectively manage all cars exiting the Festival. Please be respectful and follow the instructions given by the stewards who will be working hard to help all cars which have arrived over two days leave in one.
