💥 TRUCK IS HEADING FOR ANOTHER SELL OUT - DON'T MISS OUT ON TICKETS 💥  /

Guest-List: Chappaqua Wrestling

“The energy from everyone is going to be ridiculous”

On the countdown to Truck, we’re chatting to our lovely line-up as they curate a wonderful playlist of current favourites and their Truck 2021 picks! We’ve called it.. Guest-List. Get it?

This week we spoke to Charlie Woods and Jake Mac from Brighton born but Manchester based Chappaqua Wrestling about their killer new single and Truck excitement!

“Yeah [we’re] really excited” says Charlie, “it’s difficult to measure excitement for a festival that you’ve had to wait 2 years for, but the energy from everyone feeding off that is going to be ridiculous.”

Their fantastic single The Rift has seen them take a grungier direction, a glimpse into their recently recorded debut album

“We see it as the first song of ours we’ve released that has been ready for that side of us, as it’s always been there, just hidden in the prior releases.” Jake explains. “The new album definitely was written in the same mood and time frame as The Rift, so to say the album will follow its direction wouldn’t be a far cry from the truth” he explains. “But that would also pigeon hole it to an extent, whereas we feel there’s serious variation in the sonics of this album, which we think makes it really special.”

Woods and Mac have curated over an hour and a half of their current influences including Television, Iceage, Drop Nineteens and Alessi Brothers plus who you should check out at Truck Festival 2021.

Sorry, Little Simz, Squid, Just Mustard, Fontaines D.C., Do Nothing, Black Honey, Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, The Magic Gang, Alfie Templeman, Folly Group

But the thing they’re looking forward to most…?

“Very excited for festival food again.”
