“After a few years of (somewhat pandemic induced) hibernation, flirting. finally return to the stage.
Their 2018 debut EP was described as “melting emo, indie, post-rock and more with a complete disregard for traditional genre boundaries” by DIY Magazine, and Brooklyn Vegan have described their live show as ‘deafeningly loud and entirely compelling’. Often compared to the ‘00’s band Life Without Buildings (prior to the TikTok boom), the art-rock band have taken the time to step back and add in their more punkish ethos to their sound, with experimentation and fine tuning.
Prior to their debut EP, flirting. were Marika Hackman’s choice to play main stage of Truck Festival from their competition for emerging artists, and they followed this up with sold out performances in New York the March following at New Colossus Festival, and feature play on BBC Radio 1’s Jon Hopkins Bedtime Mix.”
