Originally conceived as a bedroom DIY indie solo project, Easter Island Statues’ frontman Donald Campbell began releasing music under the Kite Society moniker in 2021. A string of singles followed, including, ‘Silver Lining’, which subsequently caught the attention of both BBC Introducing in Oxford, as well as 6Music’s Tom Robinson.
In April 2023, Donald released his debut 5-song EP ‘Ahoy!’ and proceeded to form an Oxfordshire indie rock supergroup of sorts to support the record, employing the talents of Juniper Nights’ James Gallagher, as well as Self Help icon Danny Jeffries.
Together, the band are planning several new releases this year, as well as a handful of dates to be announced.
