Working with Charities

Feel Good Food Hall

Away from the music, Truck Festival and the Binning family who farm the land have a long standing history of Charity work with the local community and beyond. Even from our first event back in 1998, all profit from our £3 ticket price was split between Amnesty International and Helen & Douglas House.

In 2019 we raised a staggering £103,000 for charity, smashing 2018’s figure by £30,000!

Each year, we works alongside the local community to raise vital funds for Oxford-based charities as well as those internationally. The money goes towards a number of different causes, from covering the cost of the Darby & Joan Club’s (the village social group for seniors) Christmas dinner to the Steventon Church Bell Fund Appeal, with Truck making a substantial contribution to having the bells rehung.

The majority of this figure was raised by the numerous charities that work in the Feel Good Food Hall, which brought in an amazing £89,000. These food stalls, which help cater the event with a delicious assortment of food and drinks, are run by volunteers and donate 100% of its profits to charity.

Didcot Rotary Club

From the first festival Alan Binning and his friends from Didcot Rotary have provided food whilst raising money for good causes. As the festival has grown and to provide variety for festival goers there is now a range of food provided.

The Charity food stalls are now located in the Feel Good Food Hall – the big tent located next to the Barn Stage in the Main Arena!

All the food stalls in the tent are served and prepared by lovely volunteers and provide a delicious mix of:

  • Fruits and Smoothies
  • Mac ‘n’ Cheese (trust us, it’s incredible)
  • Locally sourced Steak Sandwiches
  • Sweets and Ice Cream
  • Stone Baked Pizza
  • Salads
  • Breakfast goodies

And much more.
