At Truck we are passionate about supporting aspiring event professionals to get a foot in the door , with the aim to help to grow their skill set and contacts within the industry. It is incredibly important that we offer equal opportunities for people from all walks of life, including those from the Deaf and/or disabled community to ensure the events and music sector has fair representation and diversity.

Marketing Assistant


You will be working with our Marketing Manager, providing assistance with tasks such as: content creation including taking photos and videos for use on our social channels, social media uploads, customer communication management, monitoring the festival info email and other festival-related tasks. You will have plenty of opportunities to be out on the ground at the event taking it all in.

Working dates: Wednesday 20th – Monday 26th July

Show dates: Thursday 21st – Sunday 24th July

Event Assistant


You will be working with our Event Producer on such things but not limited to: venue management, merchandise assistance, decor and branding assistance, accreditation and problem solving. You will have plenty of opportunities to be out on the ground at the event taking it all in.

Show dates: Thursday 21st – Sunday 24th July

Event Customer Service Assistant


You will be working with the Truck Event Management team to provide assistance with tasks such as: responding to customer queries via email and social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), Flagging any queries that require further elevation or tracking common queries as they arise, liaising with ticketing team on booking related queries, ensuring customers are fully informed and prepared for the festival.

Pre – Event: Monday 4th July – Sunday 17th July (5-8 hours a week)

On Site:  Monday 18th July – Monday 25th July

Essential Experience and Skills

As an organisation we want to offer equal and accessible opportunities and therefore for this role we require no prior experience but have listed the skills and personality traits we will look for in candidates:

  • Enthusiasm for the role
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Good written communication skills with the assistance of spell check and plugins like ‘Grammarly’ for assistance.
  • Ability to navigate social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

FAQs

Will you provide Catering and Accommodation?

Three meals a day will be provided onsite, all dietary requirements can be catered for.
On Site Accommodation will also be provided.
Please let us know if you have any other Access requirements such as being a wheelchair user or requiring use of an Accessible WC.

When will the interview take place?

We understand that people have personal and other work commitments so can be flexible with interview dates and times. We will contact you directly to confirm.

Will I be required to travel for an in person interview?

No, we can arrange all interviews via video call or telephone, whichever suits you better, however the role itself will be onsite in Steventon, Oxfordshire.

I am a Deaf and/or disabled person and am worried about whether this role will be accessible for me

Will there be any pre-interview prep?

We send out the interview questions a few days before the interview takes place. This is to give you time to consider the questions, carry out any research and give us the best answer possible as we know people can find it difficult to give their best possible answer on the spot.
If you have a specific time period you find most effective for receiving interview questions, please let us know, we know that having questions far in advance can cause unease and we want the process to be as stress free for you as possible.
