Band App is back for 2023
We’ve got multiple slots at Truck Festival set aside for the best emerging artists and bands in the country.
This year we’re looking to offer one winner some extra prizes! We’ve partnered up with some brilliant brands to make this offering even more great. More info below!
The application process
1. Fill out the form below and click submit (Please note, the applications form closes at 5pm on April 3rd 2023)
2. The Truck team will review your application, and shortlist a number of artists.
3. Us and our partners: Truck Festival, Pirate studios, This Feeling, BBC Introducing Oxford, Nightshift Magazine, Alcopop! and So Young Magazine, will then select a number of finalists to play at the festival.
4. Alongside this, there will also be a public/fan vote. This is where you will need to speak with your fanbase / friends / family / pets / strangers, to show their support for you. Every vote counts!
5. The artist that receives the most votes will be recognised as a finalist, and will also receive a paid slot at Truck Festival 2023.
New for 2023! 6. This year we will be working with a respected music industry tastemaker to crown an overall winner of Apply To Play 2023!
7. As the overall winner, you will receive:
– £500 worth of rehearsal & recording studio credits at Pirate Studios
– Paid festival slots at Truck Festival, Tramlines Festival in Sheffield (both on the weekend of 21st July) and also at Victorious Festival in Portsmouth later in August
– Also, a performance the ‘This Feeling Showcase’ where you will be able to perform in front of key music industry professionals and tastemakers.
8. And finally, just by applying this year, you will eligible to receive a 20% discount for all first time bookings at Pirate Studios in London (discount code shared on the confirmation page, once application is submitted).
